Role: Sales Executive

Reports To: SVP of Sales & Marketing
Location: Remote (with occasional in-person meetings)
Compensation: $110K-$140K base + uncapped commission (2x on overages)


What You'll Do

You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, winning new clients and expanding Propeller's market presence. This role is about building relationships with founders, CFOs, and investors, understanding their growth challenges, and positioning Propeller as the financial partner that helps them scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hit your number: Consistently achieve $3-4M+ in annual sales
  • Own the pipeline: Prospect, qualify, present, and close new business
  • Sell consultatively: Understand client needs and match them with our service offerings (CFO services, accounting, transaction advisory, business systems consulting)
  • Build relationships: Leverage your network to generate referrals and open doors with VCs, PE firms, and startup founders
  • Partner for success: Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth client onboarding
  • Forecast accurately: Maintain up-to-date pipeline reporting in Salesforce

You'll have everything you need to win and keep winning.


What You Bring

  • 5+ years in B2B sales selling professional services, consulting, or managed services to SMBs
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding $3M+ quotas
  • Formal sales training in a recognized methodology (Miller Heiman Strategic/Solution Selling, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, Sandler, or similar)
  • Strong network with access to startup founders, CFOs, VCs, or PE firms (bonus if you've sold accounting/finance services or worked with venture-backed companies)
  • Sales tech proficiency: Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, and LeadIQ (or similar prospecting and engagement tools)
  • Consultative sales approach—you listen first, then solve
  • Executive presence—comfortable engaging C-suite executives and investors
  • Self-starter mentality—you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Pipeline discipline—experience managing Salesforce and forecasting accurately
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
