Account Manager
Squarespace’s professional user program, Circle, provides support, inspiration, and community for tens of thousands of independent creatives who build websites for clients on Squarespace. The Circle team is increasing its capacity to provide white glove support and targeted engagement to strategically valuable Circle members and segments, and is hiring a new team member to drive that effort.
As Circle’s first Account Manager, you will write our playbook for managing high performers, cultivating up-and-comers, and helping all Circle members succeed throughout their lifecycle. You will act as a liaison between members and Squarespace, ensure members’ voices are heard internally, and improve our transparency. In addition, you will work with your Circle colleagues to develop resources, promotions, and programs that help Circle members achieve their creative and professional goals.
This role is based in New York and reports into the Creative Ecosystem Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish productive, professional relationships with high-performing Circle members in order to both ensure their satisfaction with Squarespace and help them scale their businesses
- Identify up-and-coming Circle members, and provide them with practical business support, coaching, and best practices to help them grow quickly and durably
- Develop scalable tactics to engage and cultivate Circle members who are in the early stages of their professional lifecycle, or whose purchase activity has decelerated or stopped
- Hand-match VIP clients with leading Circle members
- Work with colleagues on the Circle team and Product team to identify emerging trends and best practices among Circle members, and contribute to the development of useful and actionable resources, features, and tools
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-7 years experience in a channel sales management or account management role
- Experience working with customer relationship management software
- Proven history of approaching business and operations challenges in structured, organized, and creatives ways
- Proven history of developing and deploying sales strategies, tactics, and processes
- Ability to earn the trust and respect of stakeholders in a complex environment
