Account Manager
Our Account Managers work closely with our Sales Executives to support Oscar’s distribution channels. Account Managers will work with key business partners to resolve inbound issues quickly and professionally. To do this, Account Managers need to have broad knowledge of Oscar’s products, policies and processes and be able to cut through complex issues to serve our clients.
Simply put, we want Oscar to be the easiest carrier for employers and brokers to work with, and Account Managers are the front line in making that happen.
Responsibilities:
Handle inbound calls and emails from some of Oscar’s most important business partners (General Agents [GAs], brokers, and larger small businesses) resolving issues as efficiently and accurately as possible.
Understand Oscar’s plans, benefits and networks and the tools we’ve created across all our markets.
Coach our business partners on how to self-serve using Oscar’s online tools to address issues themselves.
Work with Oscar’s Eligibility, Billing, and Member Services to resolve complex issues
Build Oscar’s reputation for responsiveness, expertise, and efficiency.
Think critically about all processes involved and identify opportunities to make the more efficient and effective.
Present to audiences of varying size explaining Oscar and plan benefits
Meet with larger small business regularly to make sure they are satisfied with our products and services
Cultivate relationship with external partners and build a strong reputation as a representative of Oscar and our Sales organization
About you:
You love providing great service and building a reputation for excellence.
You are excited by the challenges of working in a constantly evolving, high-growth start up.
You have strong presentation skills
You are comfortable with some travel (less than 25%)
You are licensed to sell health insurance in at least one state.
Health insurance experience a plus.
