Why is an Associate Account Manager, Mid-Market important to us?

Being tech-savvy, results-driven, and engaging as a Mid-Market Account Manager is a pivotal component in developing continuous revenue-generating partnerships for Shapeways. A successful Mid-Market Account Manager will reactively assist and introduce established clients to the new wonders and benefits of 3D printed products and other Shapeways services that can assist in building out the clients business. Shapeways business model has opened the door to the future - the Mid-Market Account Manager will help pave the path for our growth and success.

As an Associate Account Manager, Mid-Market, you will:

  • Grow revenue of existing customer accounts through strategic outreach and reactive tasks to assist in day to day account needs
  • Drive mid-market accounts to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Strategically cultivate relationships with existing customers
  • Address technical needs, questions, and concerns regarding product creation
  • Update account base on upcoming promotions and/or technology changes
  • Continually collaborate with support and the commercial team to support these accounts until they grow enough to move to the Managed account group
  • Help large and small businesses, as well as individual designers, be more successful by advising on 3D design and manufacture-ability
  • Collaborate with the Director of Customer Success to continually improve the overall customer experience for established accounts at Shapeways
  • Work with all BoB customer related requests both for pre and post ordering needs

Requirements

You might be a good fit if you (have, are, possess):

  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management
  • Proficient with CRM tools such as Salesforce and/or Zendesk
  • Proven management of accounts in a technical support capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps (Gmail)
  • A strong communicator with excellent yet fun presentation style and effective negotiation skills
  • Ability to proactively grow customer relationships within an account as you develop your understanding of their business
  • Comfortable investigating and delivering technical solutions with minimal guidance
  • Enjoy working autonomously, creating and tracking progress in an ambiguous fast paced environment
  • Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects across several key channels simultaneously, while managing time effectively
  • Highly interested in 3D printing, the materials, and their specifications
  • Working knowledge of at least one major 3D modeling software, is a plus (e.g. Solidworks, Rhino, Zbrush)

Experience:

  • Software or 3D Printing sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing sales: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Undergraduate Degree in Science related field (Preferred)
  • Multi-lingual: English, Dutch, German, Hebrew (Preferred)
