Doctor.com is seeking to add a new Business Development Associate to the revenue team to help supercharge our already world-class sales team. You will work with your team to develop strategies and implement initiatives that develop new opportunities, help close business, and maximize our multi-channel sales strategy. You will be involved in high-level planning and getting your hands dirty with whatever it takes to help your team close more sales, faster.

Your job will be varied and dynamic, and there will never be a boring day. You’ll be the “right hand” person to the team of more experienced salespeople, to enable and support company sales objectives. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Play a trusted, dedicated supporting role to enable the more senior salespeople to close more business while learning their craft
  • Assist senior salespeople in pursuing sales opportunities across multiple channels (digital, phone, in-person, tradeshows, etc.) utilizing whatever tactics are necessary
  • Development and implementation of creative techniques to accelerate sales and better position our products to prospective customers
  • Research new opportunities and new markets, and develop strategies to tackle them
  • Expert response to buying questions and concerns raised by prospective customers, with an eye towards delivering the best possible customer solutions and closing the business
  • Develop persuasive and compelling content for presentations, emails, and outreach campaigns
  • Help organize and maintain team strategies and cadences, and suggest ways to optimize and gain additional leverage in our sales processes
     

Ideal qualities in a successful candidate are:

  • 1-3 years experience in sales or business development
  • Experience doing business with healthcare providers a strong plus
  • Extremely strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience writing persuasive business communications, like emails and slides
  • The ability to think strategically and creatively, and to operate in situations with limited precedent
  • A strong desire to be successful, close deals, and help your team win
  • Resilience and an entrepreneurial instinct; essential qualities for success in an early stage company
