Pursuit is looking for a sharp and driven individual to join our Partnerships & Business Development team as an Associate. This role will play a critical role in identifying new business and revenue generating opportunities for both employer partnerships and funding. This is an entry level position with high growth potential. 

As a Business Development Associate you will: 

Support the team by performing lead generation and qualification, and general sales support, specifically: 

  • Research, evaluate and prioritize new and existing opportunities 
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects to qualify and advance opportunities
  • Develop and prepare compelling pitch materials that are tailored to the corporate partner and that showcase Pursuit’s value proposition.
  • Provide administrative and operations support across the partnerships team, including scheduling, event support and maintaining customer relationship management system (Salesforce)

What you need to be considered for the Business Development Associate role: 

  • .5 - 1 year experience in a professional setting, with a strong preference for sales support or partnership development experience. Internship experience definitely counts. 
  • Drive to achieve and exceed personal goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively to reach weekly, monthly and quarterly goals
  • Proficiency in Excel, G-suite, PowerPoint or Google Slides a must
  • Bonus points for Salesforce knowledge and proficiency

Where you’ll work: 

  • Virtually—for now—from your home or our community office space in Long Island City, NYC
  • Because we are One Big Team, we are having conversations on what a return to in-person work schedules would look like and are actively gathering feedback from staff and fellows to determine the best course of action
