Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for initiating conversations with new potential partners. You’ll work closely with the New Channels Lead and the Head of Business Development to refine Orchard’s partner value proposition and deliver our pitch. Ultimately, you’ll help Orchard standup new partner channels to acquire homebuyers and sellers, and create meaningful experiences for our customers. 

The ideal candidate for this will have 2-4 years experience in a sales, business development or customer service role. You are friendly, organized, and trustworthy, and you get excited about influencing others and making genuine new connections.

Experience

  • 2+ years in sales, business development, or another customer-facing, quota driven role 
  • Track record of success meeting quotas
  • Familiar with LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and cold call best practices
  • Prior employment at early/growth stage company strongly preferred
  • Real estate experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree

Key responsibilities

  • Initiate conversations with new partners and develop meaningful relationships that drive revenue for Orchard
  • Perform research on potential partners: identify key players, prepare presentations, analyze data and leverage industry knowledge, etc.
  • Develop and test strategies for establishing communication with prospects; including ”cold calling” and other best practices to generate interest
  • Get decision makers to commit to meetings and schedule introductory meetings to establish partnerships
  • Work collaboratively with the team to refine Orchard’s pitch and positioning for different prospects
  • Be comfortable working in the ambiguity and shifting priorities that come with an early stage startup
  • Be a champion for Orchard throughout the housing industry!
