We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team in New York. 7 years and 4 million customers into building TransferWise, this role is a unique opportunity to scale an already successful service for the biggest of businesses.

We’re looking for a sharp, empathetic all-rounder that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

You will:

  • Work with a global team across New York, London, and Tallinn to scale a new, rapidly growing product.
  • Scope and size opportunities in a data-driven way quickly and efficiently.
  • Comfortably navigate organizations, manage many simultaneous conversations, and drive an agenda across long sales cycles.
  • Have a strong head for economics, and be responsible for managing the financial and legal negotiations with enterprise customers.
  • Figure out a way to deliver API integrations into the payment systems of complex organizations, on tight timelines.
  • Have direct influence on the development of our products and services for larger customers.
  • Stay consistently on top of where our product is heading.

Must haves:

  • You love a good challenge, and the prospect of a high-pressure, fast-moving project gets you excited. You’ve worked in finance, consulting, technology, started your own company, or done something else that was challenging.
  • You’re logical, and see data as a crucial part of decision-making.
  • You’re customer-focused, empathetic, and know how to figure out what motivates people. You’ve either worked in a client facing role, or spent time supporting those who do.
  • You’re okay with ambiguity, and enjoy working in a complex, technical industry. You have experience working with or can talk technically about APIs.
  • Above all, you want to grow TransferWise exponentially.
