Position Overview

NewsCred is seeking an all-star Business Development Manager to lead a team of BDRs who position our solutions to the various markets we serve and deliver highly qualified leads to our sales team. The BDR Manager will need to be self-motivated with a great attitude, a fantastic work ethic, and the desire to build a growth-focused team. The ideal candidate must display excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the drive to turn every conversation into a sale. 

The BDR Manager will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, ongoing training and ensuring the BDR team is successful. This role collaborates closely with sales and marketing to maximize the creation of highly qualified sales opportunities. The candidate must be a strong coach & leader, extremely well organized and have a passion for continually improving the team. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage, hire, and scale a world-class BDR team to overachieve their quota
  • Serve as an expert for best inbound and outbound pipeline generation practices
  • Provide guidance on building pipeline and driving qualified opportunities for the sales organization
  • Influence a repeatable scalable process for generating pipeline as the company scales
  • Coach and empower your team as they grow their careers. Create and implement training and a clear path of success and promotion for team members
  • Create and deliver accurate analysis on individual/team results and maintain reporting to accurately track and manage BDR sales metrics
  • Foster open-communication while driving a fun and successful sales team climate

What You’ll Need

  • Exhibit a high degree of motivation, energy, and creativity working in a fast-paced organization
  • 3-4 years proven work experience as a Manager of a Business Development team, preferably in SaaS software
  • Understanding of sales process and best practices - preferably within a direct, B2B inbound/outbound environment
  • Experience with ABM best practices, including nurture campaigns to increase account engagement over time
  • Experience with stakeholder management (especially sales) and lead generation software tools (SFDC, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Nav, Zoom, Engagio etc)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing and improving BDR KPIs
  • Consistent track record of quota overachievement as a manager
  • Results oriented, metrics driven track record
  • Strong organizational and team management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing or relevant field
