The primary goal of the Business Development / SDR Manager is to manage a team of business development representatives and to increase the number of sales opportunities for the sales organization. The business development team at Fluidmesh is responsible for all inbound and outbound lead generation in the company. The team and its manager will perform research and prospecting activities, have introductory conversations, hold webinars and manage large clients up until the point when a qualified opportunity is discovered. It is expected that the Business Development Manager and their team members understand Fluidmesh markets and products at a deep level, and can communicate effectively with sales, engineering, and senior management staff at partner and client organizations.
Responsibilities
Manage and build out a team of 3-4 Business Development Representatives
Participate in high volume email campaigns to generate calls, webinars, leads and opportunities
Provide clear tracking around productivity, acquisition, and conversion, and achieve quota on a number of monthly qualified meetings, opportunities and pipeline value creation metrics
Motivate team to exceed learning and performance goals and objectives
Work cross functionally to create processes and campaigns around driving new qualified leads and demos for sales team
Collect, analyze and report data around the BD team, team members, and operational execution
Generate new, fresh ideas and challenge your team and leadership to expand thinking and innovation
Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts from real world interactions with prospects
Provide training on sales strategy, business acumen, product knowledge, competition, objection handling and market dynamics
Lead regular webinars and trainings with large audiences online and in person, to sell the Fluidmesh brand and product in various vertical markets
Create marketing collateral that will be leveraged with Fluidmesh’s global customer base
Attend trade shows and meet with customers domestically and internationally to build deep relationships with Fluidmesh’s strategic accounts and grow Fluidmesh’s ecoysystem of partners
Work outside standard business hours on a regular basis to generate leads across time zones
Attract and recruit talented people who share our values and are motivated to help drive Fluidmesh’s success
Develop the careers of other Fluidmesh business development representatives
Qualifications | Required
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum five years of experience as SDR/BDR or inside sales
2+ years of SD management, BD management or sales management experience
Proven track record of success
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Extensive knowledge and experience in high volume, transactional selling environments, methodologies, and best practices
Ability to sell a sophisticated, highly technical product to an experienced, highly technical audience
Proven ability to coach, develop, and train team members on selling fundamentals, teamwork and results
Demonstrated experience solving problems intelligently, being adaptable, and entrepreneurial
Willing to work full time from New York City
Proven ability to execute outbound prospecting strategies including: Pre-call planning, opportunity qualification and objection handling, call structure and control, tone, and time and territory management
