Andela is seeking a Business Operations Manager to help solve the uniquely complicated and globalized biz-ops challenges that Andela faces as we scale. In this role, you will help answer diverse open-ended questions across the company, and help to generate actionable insights that inform the growth of our model.

The Business Operations Manager will collaborate intimately with stakeholders across all functions of the business, across our New York, Lagos and Nairobi offices. This person will be responsible for brainstorming, designing and executing on a variety of projects to help scale Andela’s processes and systems using data-driven approaches.

This position requires a motivated self-starter who is able to work comfortably across several unique functions, carries initiatives from start to finish, and can work effectively at all levels of the organization across the uniquely cross-cultural Andela environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional leadership to drive projects such as:
    • Creating a blueprint for how Andela's sales management team can move from working with small and medium-sized businesses towards larger, enterprise customers
    • Building and launching a creative program to engage and strategically utilize Andela developers who are not actively working on partner engagements
    • Optimizing and automating Andela's staffing process to significantly reduce the number of days it takes to select a developer or team of developers for a new partner engagement
  • Identify inefficiencies to improve business performance and conduct supporting analyses
  • Scope, plan and conduct analyses in support of strategic and operational projects
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and execute implementation plans, with appropriate change management strategies
  • Clearly and concisely communicate findings to senior management

 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years with experience at a top-tier consulting firm, corporate strategy function, or operational experience at a leading technology start-up
  • Proficiency with data analysis; ability to interpret and manipulate data strategically
  • Structured, logical, and creative thinking: the ability to dissect a problem using a critical approach and iteratively test solutions to challenges
  • Established track record in driving cross-functional initiatives, with measurable impact
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-thought out recommendations
  • International experience is an asset
