Amplify is seeking a Customer Relationship Manager to ensure the best experience for educators while using our programs to secure the renewal of the contract and expand their engagement with Amplify. The Customer Relationship Manager will serve as the point of contact for our mid-market accounts in one of our geographic territories. This person will be responsible for conducting risk and growth assessments for those accounts and managing the renewals process. In this role, this person will also be responsible for identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, connecting with the Account Executive where appropriate. The Customer Relationship Manager work with the territory team (Account Executive, Renewals Specialist, and Renewals Manager) on territory strategy and tactical plans to account for every return customer and ensure they are receiving the optimal level of service. The ideal candidate has a growth mindset and desire to build their professional selling skills with a team passionate about their work.
Responsibilities of the Customer Relationship Manager:

  • Collaborate with territory teams to identify target customer accounts and create tactical plans.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure coordinated communication with customers and pass on new business opportunities.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with existing customers, primarily by reaching out by phone (preferred) and email (when unable to connect over the phone) and delivering useful information and content to customers.
  • Conduct risk and growth analysis for target accounts based on usage, internal customer data, and customer feedback. Based on the customer health analysis, implement the renewal tactics that are appropriate for the customer -- coordinating with other functions as necessary.
  • In accordance with the sales cycle, create and send quotes, and ensure pipeline accuracy through the use of Salesforce.
  • Maintain knowledge of state-specific and market-specific needs in order to deliver accurate quotes and information to customers.

  • Identify opportunities to grow the business with existing customers by meeting cross-sell and upsell targets.
  • Grow multiple product customers, uncover and communicate adoption opportunities for the Sales team


Basic Qualifications of the Customer Relationship Manager:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role with a track record of achieving goals and supporting sales targets.
  • Experience maintaining customer relationships and building strong internal relationships.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service - impeccable written and verbal communication skills, including an excellent phone manner.
  • Ability to learn about complex products in the education market and clearly communicate them to customers.


Preferred Qualifications of the Customer Relationship Manager:

  • Experience in the field of education, school/district leadership, educational publishing/technology
  • Salesforce and Google Suite experience
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the customer
