Director of Business & Corporate Development, New Brand Expansion
Harry’s is looking for an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic Director of Business & Corporate Development to join us in our SoHo office in Manhattan to be part of a team that is set up to re-invent the Consumer Packaged Goods industry by identifying and launching exciting new brand opportunities, leveraging the expertise, scale and assets we’ve built as part of Harry’s.

Harry’s vision is to build a next generation CPG company, investing in, building, and owning a portfolio of omnichannel modern brands across multiple categories, similar to how we’ve done it with the Harry’s brand. After raising $112M in our most recent round of funding, the company plans to leverage its platform and capabilities, and partner with exceptional entrepreneurs to launch a number of new disruptive brands in new categories in the coming years. About the Role
As the Director of Business & Corporate Development for Harry’s New Brands, you will lead all activities in generating, managing and executing acquisitions, partnerships and licensing deals that will fuel the creation of new and innovative CPG brands within Harry’s.
You will:
- Identify target acquisitions, partnerships and licensing deals to fuel Harry’s new brand pipeline.
- Build strong relationships and network internally and externally with the start-up community and other innovation-generating communities
- Meet with founders and companies frequently to evaluate opportunities
- Conduct valuation analysis, due-diligence and relevant industry research in support of these opportunities
- Lead effective negotiations with target companies
- Create strategic presentations /recommendations and acquisition term sheets
- Act as a subject matter expert on valuation and deal structuring
- Support the Director of Strategy in managing deal teams when needed
- Report to the CEO of Harry’s Ventures, and be part of a small and powerful team working with our CEO to launch new brands
The following should describe you:
- A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in Corporate Development, M&A, investment banking, or venture investing experience
- Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships which facilitate deal flow
- End-to-end negotiation experience including identifying, developing, and executing successful acquisition targets
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analysis
- A self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams and thrives in a fast paced setting that is constantly evolving
- Highly analytical: Able to collect and analyze large sets of data and synthesize into themes, insights, and “so what’s”
- You are an authentic individual who thinks creatively and will proactively seek out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives
- You can handle ambiguity and can extrapolate and synthesize your way to insightful recommendations even when data is far from perfect
- You can be hands on and act as an individual contributor and also guide and manage others.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Confident, poised, articulate; can represent themselves as a subject matter expert in their areas of focus. Would be comfortable presenting to a senior audience.
- No task too small mentality: Willing to roll up sleeves and get into the weeds on things that need to get done.
