Sr. Director, Business Development

As SeatGeek continues to grow rapidly both in the US and internationally, we're looking to add to our team. The Sr. Director, Business Development is a new role, reporting directly to our General Counsel and working closely with senior leadership throughout the company. You will identify market opportunities, source, build, and manage potential strategic partnerships. To support these activities, you will develop industry-wide relationships to help identify new opportunities, stay up to date with the competitive landscape and inform our strategy.
What you'll do
- Work closely with business leaders across the company to understand long-term strategies and inform the business development roadmap
- Develop relationships with a broad range of companies across the live events industry
- Identify compelling opportunities that support SeatGeek's strategic priorities
- Lead all pre-partnership diligence efforts, evaluate value creation opportunities and risks in potential partnerships, and bring partnerships over the finish line
- Report to senior management on industry trends, key attributes of new growth opportunities, potential opportunities and risks to the business
- Assess and contribute to continuous improvement of internal deal selection, strategic initiative execution and pre-closing integration preparation
What you have
- 7+ years in a business development, corporate development or management consulting role
- Experience working within a fast-paced technology company a big plus
- Experience sourcing, negotiating and executing strategic partnerships and other transactions
- An excellent communicator, and able to demonstrate creative & analytical thinking
- Able to prioritize multiple stakeholders and projects with limited resources
- Able to build and maintain a network of relationships to facilitate deal flow
- Able to work collaboratively with a number of other teams to achieve success
