Who you are:

A sales professional who is passionate about contributing to the achievement of business results by exceeding quotas and establishing strong customer relationships. You are competitive and focused on building pipelines, pitching and closing new customers as we establish ourselves as an enterprise solution for various customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales leadership within our organization to build out our enterprise sales function by assisting in the development of our product position and value proposition
  • Develop and nurture relationships across a robust pipeline of cross-vertical sales opportunities to close sales and achieve results
  • Become an expert on Dataminr's platform with a deep understanding of its functionality, features and impact for clients
  • Strategically navigate and influence all stakeholders in the buying process including users, influencers and budget decision makers
  • Adeptly and intuitively understand when and how to leverage internal support and when needed partner with Revenue Operations, Marketing and Product to drive operational product improvements
  • Develop appropriately deep insights as to customer use-cases, identify ways to integrate Dataminr into our clients’ workflows, and other key information necessary to close the sale
  • Execute tactical and strategic sales account plans for existing and new clients, including handling client queries effectively and dealing with objections during the sales process
  • Approach the market with fervor constantly seeking new prospects and information that can lead to new business.
  • Establish and enforce regular reporting against success benchmarks to infuse a culture of performance management for every stage of the sales cycle
  • Assure that a strong, trusted relationship is established during the on-boarding experience to enable long-lasting customer relationships

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus
  • 7+ years of proven enterprise software/SaaS sales experience, preferably in fast-paced, technology & data product driven environments
  • Experience selling into global strategic accounts with a strong track record of negotiation and closing
  • Expertise in prospecting, cross-selling and developing relationships
  • Strong solution selling skills with demonstrated quota achievement and territory growth
  • Ability to establish clear value propositions via excellent communication skills in these forms: customer conversations; company and product presentations; written communications such as email and proposals
  • Active listening skills to discover customers’ technical, business and timeline drivers
  • Knowledge of open-source and social media analysis efforts of corporate clients
  • Experience with Salesforce of similar CRM
  • Self-motivation and an ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated and driven
