The Content & Partnerships team is responsible for the design, development, and execution of strategic initiatives, with a focus on driving product innovation, content creativity, and audience growth. Within Content & Partnerships, the Platform Partnerships team is responsible for business development across Snap’s portfolio of platform products: Snap Kit, Camera Kit, Bitmoji, Minis, Lens Studio and others.
We are looking for a Head of Platform Partnerships, Business Development to join Team Snapchat! As a member of the Platform Partnerships team, leading all Business Development efforts, you will report directly to the SVP of Content & Partnerships and manage a global team of experienced business development professionals. This team is responsible for developing valuable business outcomes for Snapchat’s partners and new, engaging experiences for the Snapchat community.
This position will be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City.
What you’ll do:
Define and execute a business development strategy that leverages our platform products, the Snapchat ecosystem and our partners’ ecosystem to deliver value to all stakeholders.
Provide analysis of, and recommendations for, building Snap’s relationships across our partnership ecosystem, designing a strategic, partner-focused go-to-market approach and individual partner plans that drive meaningful outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners to drive awareness and adoption of Camera Kit, Minis, SnapKit and other Snap platform products.
Design product integration strategies, lead cross-functional programs, measure impact and be responsible for wide-scale adoption of our portfolio of platform products.
Collaborate with the Partner Management team to ensure we deliver success to our partners and to ensure we are able to leverage new opportunities with existing partners.
Understand and communicate market opportunities, needs and partner feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform roadmap and prioritization
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Design and Marketing to launch partner integrations and drive the future direction of Snap’s platform products.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated experience and success leading a global platform partnership team
Demonstrated success identifying, engaging and co-creating innovative integrations with developer partners by leveraging the full capability of a platform products portfolio
Demonstrated success negotiating business terms with partners that ensure win-win-win relationships while working with Snap Legal to execute necessary contracts
Demonstrated experience effectively managing a team that exceeds business objectives and consistently delivers results on schedule
Bachelor's degree or equivalent business development experience
15+ years experience working in platform product business development
12+ years of experience growing, developing and leading teams
12+ years working in internet or digital media industries
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Masters degree in Business Administration
Experience building, managing and growing global teams
Experience speaking at conferences or similar engagements
Experience building and launching consumer-facing products relevant to the Snapchat generation
