Role Mission:

We’re seeking to define and influence the future of youth sports, and we’ve identified Professional Leagues as being critical authorities that will shape where youth sports is going. They are motivated by multiple strategic imperatives - fan development and player development - and have tremendous capabilities (brand, resources, reach) that make them ideal partners.  We see opportunities to help them more directly engage in the grassroots with their own programming, as well as impact local organizations through affiliation, thought leadership, and standard-setting in ways that impact the industry and our business. This role is to lead a team to manage and expand our relationships with Professional leagues, integrating our business interests with our focus on executing what they need for youth sports engagement.


PRO LEAGUE MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTION

  • Define the PRO league strategy, to establish new League partnerships, and to expand existing partnerships, through relationship building, research, program ideation, proposal development, deal negotiations and closing.
  • Lead execution of League partnerships, defining project management plans, managing day-to-day league relationships, managing SOWs and legal documents, locating and managing execution resources, and coordinating inter-departmentally as necessary
  • Align business objectives and define/manage processes to ensure successful program execution in coordination with key stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Growth, Sales, Customer Success.
  • Define departmental goals and annual planning for our work with PRO Leagues, with a focus on achieving a specific annual pipeline goal.
  • Lead definition of key metrics to track and evaluate progress of PRO league partnerships and represent those metrics to company leadership.
  • Collaborate with Product team to define and prioritize PRO league-related product requirements to support execution of PRO league partnerships and minimize disruption of our product roadmap.
  • Lead recruiting, training, and evaluation for team members in the department.
  • Oversee and manage budgets and applicable expenses.
  • Work with Marketing to translate the value of PRO relationships into driving key brand and growth marketing and sales objectives, attract additional investment across the Pro leagues and teams and drive new prospects into our pipeline.


Experience Required

  • Strong relationship manager with experience in project management, execution and activation, particularly working with PRO leagues/teams.
  • Experience managing community programs that achieve measurable impact on key stakeholders.
  • Business executive who has worked with PRO leagues and/or teams in operations, marketing, player associations, CSR, etc.
  • Experience working for a SaaS company and/or relevant digital/product experience.

Location

We are located right off of Union Square across from the famous Irving Plaza. Currently, we are working fully remotely.
