About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales Incentive Compensation and Performance Management to lead the delivery and administration of Riskified’s global sales incentive program. This is a high visibility role with Sales Leadership and you will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive incentive structure across all eligible roles within the GTM organization. This role will be directly managing a compensation analyst.
To be successful, you should have excellent communication, project management skills, financial acumen, and be well-versed in compensation processes and policies. Ultimately, the goal is to properly incentivize and compensate our sales organization to support and ensure the growth of the company.
This role is also accountable for reporting plan effectiveness and forecasting of incentive compensation expenses globally and functionally managing Xactly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the creation and articulation of a compensation philosophy that aligns with Riskified's values and mission
- Manage and validate incentive compensation calculations and payouts globally
- Act as the liaison across different functional groups including Finance, HR, Legal, Field Operations, Sales, and Leadership
- Oversee the quota and territory assignments for all applicable roles within the GTM organization, including coordinating with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Leadership
- Ownership of all business processes related to plan administration, including functional ownership and configuration of Xactly
- Monitor actual and forecasted plan performance
- Implement and maintain a rigorous audit process to ensure data integrity
- Create and manage special incentive programs, ensuring a combination of incentivizing quantifiable behaviors within a dedicated budget
- Build incentive compensation dashboards and reports in Xactly, providing Sales Leadership real-time visibility into plan performance and effectiveness
- Partner with Leadership to establish monthly meeting rhythms to review plan performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales incentive compensation experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for compensation, such as plan structures, delivery, communication, process management, administration, etc.
- Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and Xactly or other comparable commission systems
- Deep understanding of quota setting across multiple roles and regions
- Superb Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
- Ability to build relationships and to influence and collaborate across departments in order to achieve objectives
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands
- A data-driven mindset and strong demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to influence, drive decisions, and lead discussions utilizing data
- Possess a high level of integrity. Be widely trusted, direct, and truthful, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence
- Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on problem-solving
