As part of the Investment Strategy team, the Investment Strategist is responsible for helping to build and refine the analytics that power Vise’s investment strategy and marketing content.  You’ll work closely with Senior Investment Strategists to run backtests, explore datasets, and build investment tools that help us continue to push boundaries on the way we manage and message our strategies.  You'll need to bring an entrepreneurial, big-picture mindset to the role, while still being incredibly detail oriented.  The right candidate will be a self-starter, hungry to learn and eager to join a collaborative team.

Our office is located in One World Trade in NYC. Our office is open at limited capacity with strict contact tracing and protocols for anyone who chooses to go in. We will continue to be remote-optional until September 30, 2021. We will monitor Covid-19 trends to ensure the safety of our employees.

• Assist in developing and refining Vise strategies through backtesting analysis
• Support sales team by building and enhancing investment strategy sales support materials 
• Respond to client inquiries with ad hoc data analysis
• Design Portfolio attribution analysis
• Work with members of the trading group to build real-time and historical portfolio analytics
• Design and execute portfolio comparisons
• Assist in preparing status, activity, and performance reports for clients

• BS Engineering/CS/Finance/Economics
• 1-2 years’ experience at a top tier asset management firm working closely with equity and fixed income portfolios
• Strong understanding of financial markets – primarily equity and fixed income
• Expert at transforming large raw datasets into actionable insights using SQL and python
• Enjoys thinking deeply about datasets in order to understand biases and errors
• Capable of running analysis in excel and python in order to produce reports, analytics, and research
• Intellectually curious, self-learner, and successful problem solver in unstructured environments
• Team focused mindset, eager to collaborate with others to solve problems 
• Transparent and direct
