Junior Account Manager, Pubishers (Engage)

(Publisher Support Specialist)

 

As a Publisher Support Specialist at Outbrain you will be focused on supporting our largest segment of publisher accounts. You will serve as the main point of contact for our support-level Engage publisher partners, focusing on solving their technical challenges, answering their questions and working with internal teams to get things accomplished. This role directly contributes towards the company’s bottomline by optimizing accounts for the best performance.

 

Responsibilities as a Publisher Support Specialist:

  • Provide timely, consistent and accurate support to support clients via email ticketing system.

  • Resolve publisher’s technical issues by working with Outbrain technical teams.

  • Contribute toward monthly team revenue goal by monitoring publisher performance and proposing optimizations and improvements.

  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork and collaboration.

  • Monitor, analyze and report performance of ongoing optimizations, for example UI and page layout improvements 

 

Preferred candidate qualifications:

  • 1+ of experience in online advertising, marketing, or digital publishing (relevant internships and university experience accepted)
  • Experience in Digital Media is an advantage.

  • Possess the technical aptitude and desire to learn the intricacies of the Outbrain system.

  • Proficient with excel and presentation software.

  • Excellent business sense, problem solving, project management and analytical skills.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.

  • Goal-driven individual with data analysis skills.

  • Proactive, independent worker who works well with others.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and great interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • A passion for learning new things, and spreading this knowledge.

  • A desire for customer satisfaction - a willingness to do what it takes to make the customer happy.

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.

 

Your first year should look like this:

  • In your first month, you should find your bearings, fully understand the Outbrain product and industry, and become comfortable with regular client communications.

  • After three months, you will be an expert in content marketing and you’ll have mastered our platform. You’ll be able to troubleshoot technical issues with customer widgets and walk clients through our offering and best practices.

  • After six months, you will serve as a resource internally and externally for any troubleshooting or optimization tips for clients and accounts. You will feel confident recommending improvements to increase revenue potential.

  • When you finish up your first year, you’ll be an essential part of Outbrain, and will maintain client relationships, while serving as an escalation point for any platform issue or question.
