A Better opportunity:
Better is looking for Closing Experts to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for working closely with our internal teams as they lead borrowers through their final stage of the home financing process with Better. It is both an anxious and celebratory part of the mortgage process, so part of your job will be to instill confidence in our process as borrowers approach these final stages. You will work cross collaboratively with many parties including internal teams and external title companies to ensure a positive and efficient experience while meeting tight and competitive deadlines.
Beyond producing high quality loans, our goal is to build a product that will ultimately reduce the cost of homeownership in America. With offices in New York, Irvine, Oakland, Charlotte and Gurgaon, we are quickly expanding in order to deliver a delightful borrower experience through a combination of technology and people. In joining our team, you will have a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team and you will play a critical role in delivering on the Better mission.
Responsibilities will include:
- Producing Closing Disclosures in compliance with mortgage guidelines.
- Guiding our internal teams who are working closely with borrowers to make sure all proper documentation is collected and analyzed for a timely closing.
- Communicating directly with title companies to ensure an efficient experience.
- Closing 50-70 loans per month.
- Being outspoken about ways in which we can improve borrower experience. We value your feedback!
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business.
- 1-2 years of professional experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- You excel under pressure and perform well with tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of humility and accountability.
