Disney Advertising Sales drives the advertising revenue across platforms for the entire media portfolio - including ABC, ESPN, Hulu, Freeform, FX, National Geographic, Disney Channels Worldwide, and more. The Sales Enablement teams' mission is to provide unified client service experience with ease and automation to more effectively drive revenue.
Disney Ad Sales (DAS) Sales Enablement team is responsible for providing a unified client service experience with ease and automation to more effectively drive revenue. This role is responsible for representing Disney Advertising Sales Business Intelligence for the Sales Enablement team ensuring Dashboarding and Reporting aligns with business needs for our digital and linear products. The successful candidate acts as a partner with Ad Platforms teams, ensuring DAS has the right blend of nimble and core solutions that enhance revenue, manage scale and extend our audience.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Enablement (Business Intelligence)
Responsibilities
Linear & Addressable BI User Experience & Support

  • Support: Manage ad hoc inquiries and respond to user questions/requests and work with Advanced Ops and/or Ad Platforms for timely resolution
  • Documentation: Understand trends/topics and create FAQ's, best practices or informational one sheets as a guide
  • Process: Identify opportunities for process improvement and better utilization of current toolsets (e.g. gaps in process and systems, reporting risks, etc.) to drive revenue and/or support operational efficiencies
  • Expertise: Develop understanding of the existing system enhancements and use cases in order to effectively troubleshoot and debug issues.


Linear & Addressable BI Business Partnerships:

  • Liaison: Partner with leader to effectively manage partnerships between DAS stakeholders and Ad Platforms on intake projects, product roadmap development progress, prioritization, key issues, and user feedback
  • Communications: Consistently inventory and identify communication activities Improve for DAS stakeholders on new releases, and updates


Linear & Addressable BI Intake:

  • Submit intake tickets from DAS stakeholders and attend regular meetings with Ad Platforms to review intake projects and status
  • Partner with DAS stakeholders to capture needs, light requirements and prioritize dashboard improvements
  • Feature/Functionality Releases: Review new features/functionality and partner with leadership to obtain DAS stakeholder sign-off prior to releases


Linear & Addressable BI Implementation:

  • Awareness: Track progress/dependencies, communicate objectives/status, identify & escalate roadblocks, continuously assess risk factors, and recommend appropriate mitigation actions/strategies
  • UAT: Identify DAS testers, schedule testing, document feedback, and work with Ad Platforms on incorporating feedback
  • User Training: "Plan, schedule and facilitate training; partner with L&D team as needed, lead material creation, lead sessions as applicable"
  • Re-training: Identify areas that may need re-training on process and/or tool sets


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Linear & Addressable Advertising Operations, Sales Enablement or Business Intelligence
  • A minimum of 4+ years' working in SAS, SPSS or comparable statistical modeling tool a plus; hands-on experience with BI tools like Micro strategy or Tableau
  • Working knowledge of DFP, Freewheel, and/or other ad systems; working knowledge of SSP & DSP systems
  • Thorough understanding of online performance marketing and web based metrics including online media and website analytics
  • Thorough understanding of how to map offline media to online results and appropriate attribution
  • Experience manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends and reporting results in a clear and effective manner
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner across multiple teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
  • Experience with BI tools and big data platforms a plus
  • Technical expertise in inventory management and yield tools
  • Knowledge of SQL and database structures is preferred
  • BA or BS with a Business / Technology focus quantitative field (Business, Math/Statistics, Economics, CS, Engineering, or similar) or equivalent work experience
