theSkimm’s Sales team is a small group of experienced, resourceful, and scrappy hustlers. We pull out all of the stops to get sh*t done, whether that’s working with agencies and clients directly, seeking out third-party partnerships to drive incremental revenue alongside top of the funnel growth, or contributing to the growth and efficiency of our pre and post-sales operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a coordinator on our partnerships and sales team, you'll work to identify and initiate brand partnerships that drive revenue and top funnel growth for theSkimm. You will manage and assist our audience development and sweepstakes partnerships, and support the larger sales efforts across the company.

  • Understand theSkimm’s affiliate and partnership business objectives and translating those into opportunities for partners, while leveraging data and performance metrics to prove out success for theSkimm and our affiliate partners
  • Prospect and qualify potential brand partners with products and/or services that align with theSkimm’s mission
  • Manage client relationships and execution in partnership with sales team to deliver on brand deals. Responsibilities include: developing pitch materials, owning contract creation, project management of partnership execution roadmap, data entry, and weekly performance analyses across relevant lines of business
  • Strategize with the sales team to grow relationships into larger partnerships leveraging affiliate deal components
  • Source, manage and execute audience development partnerships that drive top funnel growth across platforms

WHAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

  • Experience in sales or marketing
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically with phone communication
  • Ability to liaise with current and potential clients
  • Familiarity and enthusiasm for theSkimm, our products, and the utility we offer to our audience
  • Willingness to thrive in a startup organization, highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and energetic
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
