Overview

As a Digital Sales Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing online advertising campaigns, securing creative, assist management with remnant and other partner relationships and ensuring customer needs are met.  Partnering with the sales team, the creative development team, and the ad trafficking team, this person will be the main point of contact for processing online advertising orders and proposals, coordinating ad materials, updating existing partner campaigns and launching new partner agreements. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital ad sales media plans for sales teams, based on RFP’s, research, and recommendations.

  • Identify site audience/demographics and ideal media mix for advertiser objectives, leveraging resources for a competitive advantage.
  • Interface with AdOps team to source digital inventory and avails.
  • Interface with agencies/clients for creative assets, campaign optimization and reporting.
  • Initiate design requests with in-house ad producers for orders that require creative to be designed. 
  • Negotiate planning rates with sales/management team to help maximize revenue and sales.
  • Cultivate a positive working relationship with advertisers and the sales team, facilitating requests for billing and pricing, and directing client changes to the creative department for proofs and layouts.  
  • Research and evaluate marketplace conditions affecting sales, providing recommendations based on market research and new trends.
  • Monitor process for sales proposals and pricing, following established guidelines for RFP process
  • Use DART Sales Manager (or other order management system) and DART for Publishers (or other ad serving system) with expertise and accuracy.   
  • Assist Digital Sales Manager with all forms of collateral materials for use in closing new business (including but not limited to: presentational materials, competitive analysis, and campaign analysis).
  • Key point on all National Remnant relationships related to operations.
  • Key point on all Agency trading desk partnerships related to operations.
  • AdSense – provide ongoing support – weekly price adjustments and recommendations.
  • Key back-up for Centro.
  • Key back-up for T365 Planners.
  • Adhere to best practices and department processes. 
  • Partner with Quality Assurance/Trainer to determine training needs and best practice materials.   
  • Stay abreast of industry issues, trends and ad serving solutions to suggest improvements or new ad products for the TI network of websites. 
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with digital sales, digital trafficking, or similar 
  • Work or classroom experience with:
  • Internet technologies, such as, HTML and Javascript
  • FTP
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Photoshop
  • DART Systems: DFP, DSM
  • Candidates must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment, with a focus on customer service, process efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, and be able to interact effectively with other team members, management and customers. 
  • Must be able to work autonomously and be comfortable adapting to change and challenge.  
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions and recommend process improvements. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Must have a strong customer focus that conveys responsiveness and competence. 
  • Must be capable of providing Elite Customer Service and the ability to manage difficult people.
