Procurement Manager at Block Renovation

Block is a renovation platform transforming the $400 billion renovation industry. Today, doing a home renovation is an abysmal consumer experience and not easy for contractors either. Role and Responsibilities

The procurement manager role will oversee a portfolio of renovations that need to be delivered at high performance, as well as help to improve consistency, quality, and speed of renovations. Renovations are a high stakes experience for homeowners, and a highly detailed process for design and construction professionals. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in supply chain management and outstanding communication skills to ensure long term development of the procurement process.

Key day-to-day responsibilities include: 

  • Develop, hone and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing
  • Help solve issues in the field, while maintaining valuable relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity and client/contractor satisfaction
  • Think creatively about how to optimize the procurement process
  • Develop systems and tools to improve the procurement process


Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management, and/or warehousing processes
  • Tenacity for solving problems / getting things done
  • Highly organized and maniacal about detail
  • Positive, helpful and supportive - willing to take on any task, no matter how big or small
  • Strong communication and relationship development skills, both internally and externally
  • Familiarity with residential renovations
  • Highly ambitious and goal-oriented
  • Demonstrates Company Philosophies in how they work
  • Able to build for long term, but also able to find efficient short-term solutions
