Artivest is seeking a Relationship Management Associate to join its Business Development team. You will be responsible for fostering, growing and strengthening relationships with Artivest's clients, including both alternative asset managers and wealth management platforms. This is a client-facing role that is connected throughout the sales process and assumes primary account responsibility once a client is signed, to drive client success and maximize revenue for the firm. You must be comfortable with cross-functional aspects of this role and excel at working collaboratively with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Finance, Compliance, etc.) to drive results.

The asset management division of Artivest, formerly known as Altegris, is an investment research provider with deep expertise in alternative manager selection, structuring unique investment solutions, and providing product management and oversight. Our broker-dealer affiliate distributes our products to wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and directly to high-net-worth individuals and family offices.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across teams including Business Development, Operations, Sales, Research, Marketing, and Technology to manage our client relationships to achieve success and optimize revenue
  • Provide project management support for high-priority initiatives such as pricing analysis, product and distribution strategy, and customer segmentation
  • Actively participate in client meetings and relationship management; meticulously provide and track follow-ups
  • Assist in developing client success framework and collaborate closely with Business Intelligence team to extract and analyze key metrics
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to identify, plan and execute on sales initiatives (webcasts, roadshows, private events, email campaigns, etc.)
  • Support client engagements and eventually manage select relationships


Requirements

  • Interested and conversant in sophisticated investment strategies
  • Partnership orientation with a penchant for identifying untapped revenue sources and collaboration opportunities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to thrive in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, highly organized and with exceptional attention to detail and a get-it-done attitude
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and multi-task/handle competing priorities
  • A strong desire to work in a start-up environment; flexible with change


Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years work experience in analytical roles, such as sales operations, strategy, management consulting, wealth management, private equity, venture capital, or investment banking
  • Experience in client-facing roles with financial services or corporate sales is a plus
  • Knowledgeable of Wealth and Asset Management ecosystem (key players, revenue models, client profiles, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the private investment fund space and the regulatory regime that governs it (SEC, FINRA, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM systems and/or Martech solutions (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, etc.)
  • Familiarity with technology product development processes
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses preferred (not required)
  • CFA and/or CAIA charterholder is a plus
