Description:

The Relationship Manager is the primary Brand Networks contact for key accounts, and will be responsible for owning, managing and growing the client relationship. The Relationship Manager will be an expert at understanding their client’s business, organizational structure, general marketing needs, and short and long term business objectives.

Client Focus:

  • Is the primary point of contact for the client while building strong relationships with primary decision makers within the organization (VP level and above).
  • Develops an open dialogue to discuss business problems and the potential solutions.
  • Regularly offers an in depth perspective of their client’s market, competitors, and the media landscape.
  • Acts as a “voice of the customer” to inform enhancement of the Brand Networks cross-channel offering.
  • Oversees onboarding, ongoing customer support levels ( consulting on staffing needs, responsiveness, etc.), client development during engagement, and offboarding.

Business Focus:

  • Focuses on revenue growth and strategic account growth based on the business objectives of the client.
  • Identifies opportunities, provides solutions, and meets and exceeds targets.
  • Takes the lead on contracts, negotiations, additional scoping and needs.

Team Focus:

  • Collaborates across internal BN organizations and subject matter experts to deliver on the long term goals and needs of customers. Knows who to call on for expertise and account needs across services, Media Intelligence, Technology, Product, etc.
  • Is a true team player, working closely with counterparts on the Media Services and Professional Services teams to deliver on the goals of the customer.
  • Monitors the customer's experience, provides feedback to client and delivery teams, identifies new or unmet pains and gains for business development consideration, identifies opportunities to fill the need for additional training or demos, and oversees BN enterprise support.
  • Takes a consultative approach towards the discovery and validation process, as well as solution feasibility and design. This may include pre-sale planning, and transitioning the client through onboarding to functional teams.
  • Ensures that delivery teams are meeting expectations of what was sold in the pre-sale.

Partnership Focus:

  • Builds relationships with our partners to gain insight in client challenges, their challenges, and gain perspective on their position in the market.
  • Coordinate account strategy with our Social Platform partners (Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter & LinkedIn), Digital Activation partners, creative partners, and data partners.
  • Bring the BN Brand to life at the partner offices across the country.
  • Partner with Service Directors and Managers to produce cohesive account plans and strategies.
  • Establish the proper cadence and structure of meetings across Service teams and customer teams to ensure proper levels of communication, collaboration and productivity.
  • Enable Service leads to lead subject matter presentations, pitches, strategy conversations, etc.
  • Provide post sale support to work closely with Services team on campaign execution and reporting, as well as with product and engineering to ensure we are working on solutions to meet client's broader business objections, and to strengthen and grow the partnership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising or related field.
  • 7+ years of account management or client relationship experience. Agency and/or social and digital media experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proven track record of successfully growing revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships.
  • Experience discerning and communicating the advantages and disadvantages of a solution to a problem while taking client or domain-specific constraints into account.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Must be proactive, results oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that values results.
