Who you are: 
You're a highly motivated and detail oriented professional with experience managing sales compensation programs and initiatives at a global level. You have the ability to think strategically and execute operationally, translating business strategy into sales compensation design and operational processes. 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales Strategy & Operations, you'll be responsible for owning and scaling Dataminr's sales compensation plans globally across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, and other department leaders across the company on a variety of initiatives to support our fast-growing sales organization in every aspect of the direction, design and execution of their sales compensation plans and policy. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for sales compensation for the COO and Sales Leadership
  • Partner with Dataminr’s Sales leaders to understand the needs of the teams, and design a customized strategy and plan that aligns with Dataminr’s corporate goals and strategy across sectors, roles, and geographies
  • Manage planning processes and assist in building and maintaining performance targets and develop plans to achieve targets at all levels
  • Design and document plans and short-term incentives for Dataminr’s quota carrying roles globally
  • Analyze sales performance data to inform initial design and results
  • Work with the Finance organization on timely payouts and predicting the cost plans and programs, as well as analyze feasibility by assessing financial and systems readiness
  • Document sales compensation plans and policy, and implement change management processes to ensure timeliness of the information
  • Develop compensation plan communication and enablement content

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical field (e.g. Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation and operations or sales strategy, preferably within high-growth technology or SaaS environments
  • Strong ability to conduct complicated analysis, identify key insights, and recommend actions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives at once, with a working knowledge of end-to-end project life cycles and methods
  • Ability to be highly productive and proactive with supporting key stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively manage your time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience working across offices and regions on global projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to listen and translate complex ideas into simple design for both an Executive and field audience 
  • Experience with sales compensation systems (e.g. Salesforce, Xactly, CaptivateIQ)
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel (e.g. functions, pivot tables, modeling, etc.)
