The Role: 

The Sales Development Program Manager will drive SDR programs, quality assurance, and process optimization. You will manage all prospecting campaign strategies, processes, data analysis, and third party partnerships. Additionally, you will establish a consistent and scalable governance process, including prospecting policies and templates. You will also provide quality assurance support to SDR managers and Customer team leadership. Reporting to the Director of Sales Development, you will partner closely with sales and customer success to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales prospects and opportunities. Additionally, you will manage a team of three to five sales researchers and research interns to support the prospect lifecycle.

Your will have a direct impact on developing Newsela’s sales pipeline, which will ultimately scale Newsela’s ability to bring engaging, culturally responsive learning content to K-12 classrooms nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You: 

You have 5+ years of experience in a Sales Development, Sales Operations, or Program Management role, and 1+ years of experience leading a small team. You have demonstrated success in process definition, prospect strategy, and / or driving cross functional alignment. You are experienced in driving pipeline creation programs, including defining standardized templates, identifying segment- and region-specific trends and sentiment analysis that you use to inform your strategy decisions. You leverage your program management skills to effectively enable a scalable sales development strategy, inclusive of design, implementation, and enforcement of standardized processes, policies, and governance. You aso possess working functional knowledge of marketing, SDR, and sales process handoff. In addition to your industry expertise, you excel in hiring, coaching, and managing your team to meet their goals. While not required, experience in education technology is a plus.
