Sales Director, Programmatic & Data Solutions

Backed by a powerful team of experts, Fluent’s data solutions are built around its 1st party, declared data set, representing an opted-in audience of over 150 million US consumers. Our clients include agencies, brands, and publishers who leverage our data in their DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs for a variety of use cases. While our data spans several verticals, we have an extremely competitive and differentiated offering in health and pharma specifically.
We are looking for a Sales Director to help accelerate our growth even faster by generating new agency, advertiser, and publisher relationships and evangelizing the value of Fluent’s declared data (no inferred 3rd party data here!). The right candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a focus on initiating & growing client spend on using Fluent’s data.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, identify, and close new accounts by uncovering opportunities within existing and new agency, brand, and publisher relationships
- Take a consultative sales approach to develop the best solution for Fluent’s data with each client
- Evangelize the value proposition of Fluent’s 1st party, declared, and opted-in data
- Recruit data usage across various consumer verticals to include but not limited to: Health & Pharma, Home & Family, Consumer Goods & Services, and other verticals through cold calling, emailing, and face-to-face meetings
- Work with the operations teams to facilitate custom data requests
- Update and create sales proposals, pitches, presentations, weekly sales pipeline updates and reports
- Manage & grow individual team relationships within agencies
Requirements
- 3-5+ years’ experience as an Enterprise Account Executive at a DSP, SSP, or data vendor
- Excels with large, strategic accounts
- Extensive Agency relationship
- Deep understanding of programmatic advertising, major players, planning and execution processes
- Creative thinker to drive precise solution development
- Ability to deliver results under pressure and a proven track record on achieving revenue goals
- Understands complex customer requirements, ability to find multiple avenues of entry into an account, and has excellent prospecting and closing skills
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to write clear, persuasive proposals, emails and presentations
- Bachelor’s degree, marketing or business preferred
