The Role:

Our goal at Newsela is to create and deliver world-class learning programs that develop the capabilities needed by our customer-facing sales teams to drive growth and enhance business results. Newsela is implementing a new sales methodology that will be institutionalized across the entire sales team.

The Solution Selling Enablement Manager will be a major player in accelerating our transformation and leading the continuous reinforcement as we implement this new methodology. You will serve as a coach, facilitator, deal reviewer, and ongoing Sales Methodology expert. You'll be integral in designing and executing on developing Newsela-specific scenarios, e-learning modules, case studies, and application workshops to constantly reinforce our Go To Market approach to our sales efforts. From there, you’ll be working with individual contributors and managers on an on-going basis to ensure that they are optimizing every sales opportunity and institutionalizing the methodology across Newsela. In addition, you’ll help lead our charge of further establishing a sales culture of learning and growing toward best practices in the market. You will be a key member of the Sales Enablement function as well as a contributor to the sales leadership team.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

Newsela is in it’s beginning phases of rolling out our new sales methodology. As a member of our growing Sales Enablement team, you’ll have the chance to shape Newsela’s approach to this methodology, including corresponding teaching and reinforcement strategy. This is not a plug and play role. You will have the opportunity to create and implement sales methodology coaching at the ground level. Through this work, you will further build your reputation as a leading SaaS sales expert that our Sales team seeks out for coaching. Partnering with regional leaders in Sales and Customer Success, you will have a direct impact on Newsela’s ability to bring engaging, culturally responsive learning content to K-12 classrooms nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You:

You have 3+ years of experience in Sales training with SaaS industry experience, and you also have deep experience with leading sales methodologies. While MEDDPICC experience and certification is preferred, other sales methodology certifications such as Value Selling, PSS, Janek, and Sandler will be accepted. You understand basic adult learning theory and apply this knowledge to various learning modalities tailored to specific audiences. You have sold before (either on the solution engineering or sales side of the house), and have a demonstrable grasp of coaching and training analytics and metrics. Ideally, you have experience leveraging your excellent communication skills and positive and engaging approach to deliver training remotely via Zoom or a similar platform.

About Newsela:

One of the fastest growing tech companies in K-12 education, Newsela was founded on the principle that while every child learns differently, they all deserve a rich learning experience that ignites a love of learning. We built our platform based on learning science research to deliver the most engaging, authentic content to modernize how teaching happens in the classroom. Along with interactive assessments and tools, we provide teachers with digital content at five reading levels -- from +100 of the best sources -- that is relevant to the diverse backgrounds and interests of their students. Since we started in 2013, we’ve become an essential solution for 90% of U.S. K-12 Districts and serve +25 million users.
