The Partner & Alliance Sales Engineer is a senior technical lead that supports the growth and scale of Collibra's strategic partnerships. You will lead all technical partner activities across strategic services partners that recommend, deploy and manage Collibra as well as strategic technology partners in which we develop complementary solutions. You, along with support from the Sales Engineering Team and Collibra’s Product team, will work closely with the Collibra Partner leadership to develop comprehensive technical plans for strategic partners, including identifying, incubating, and bringing to market service/solution offerings based on Collibra. 

You are Responsible for:

  • Build and support the technical relationships with GSI, technology and cloud partners
  • Lead technical discussions with partners and provide technical expertise in support of partner sales and marketing activities
  • Distill and communicate partner needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and assistance during the partners sales process to ensure mutual success
  • Develop domain expertise and thought leadership regarding the partners's current areas of focus as well as in new areas for expansion

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred
  • 5+ years of technical sales or solution architect, preferably with broad experience and responsibility
  • An ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around a technical topic
  • Strong presentation and communication skills at both an executive and technical level
  • Experience and interest working with partnerships - either working at or with Global System Integrators, ISV/Technology companies or cloud providers

  • Considerate - utilizing empathy and understanding in your engagements.  
  • Driven by customer success - understanding customer/partner objectives AND initiatives first and utilizing those to drive technical vision and solutions
  • Technologically astute but also comfortable with acknowledging a shortcomings in this space and learning on your own
  • Willing to travel up to 50% post-pandemic

Sales Engineer, Partnerships & Alliances, measures of success are:

  • Drive incremental Collibra revenue through enablement and support of strategic partners
  • Subjective evangelizing of the Data Intelligence community
  • Sought out by partners as a trusted technical advisor
