SALES ENGINEER UK


Joining Collibra’s Sales Engineering team:

  • As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, advising customers, partners and prospects as well as helping to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • You’ll be a very essential part of the Sales Organisation at Collibra and you will collaborate with Account Executives and others to help enterprise prospects and clients understand how Collibra can enable them to unlock the value of their data and turn it into a strategic, competitive asset.
  • In this role you will work as One Collibra, collaborating and building relationships cross-functionally and across geographies for the larger team’s success.

 

A day in the life of a Sales Engineer at Collibra:

Never a dull moment! You’ll be working with well-known and respected companies in the UKI region and sometimes across EMEA or Global. Some examples of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting sales presentations and demonstrations, both on site and remote using the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Provide sales qualification & RFP support.
  • Developing sales proposals together with Enterprise Account Executives and others.
  • Lead and own  the technical side of the sales process and scope and run technical evaluations.
  • Be the liaison for product management and share feedback on issues identified from field observations.

 

You Have:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in customer facing roles (including but not limited to consulting, sales engineering, training, support) that require explaining enterprise software applications, with focus on technical deep dive. 
  • Working experience in building and delivering presentations, communicating product messaging and effectively explaining complex technical concepts to cross-functional audiences (technical and non-technical) across internal and external organizations
  • Knowledgeable of the challenges faced by vertical markets like for example high tech, financial services, healthcare, government, and retail.
  • Working experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting enterprise software solutions and diagnosing problems

 

You Are:

  • Able to communicate effectively, in English, via multiple channels (verbal, written) with technical and non-technical staff across internal and external organizations
  • Someone with ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Someone with ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiar with use cases, challenges and technologies in the areas of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP and/or Azure), data management, business intelligence, data science and/or data analytics.

Reporting to Collibra’s Sales Engineering Manager UKI, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will have completed at least one Collibra University learning path and be able to clearly articulate the value that the Collibra platform can provide
  • Within your third month you will be able to run product demos with minimal support. You will explain and present Collibra’s Value Offering as well as Platform Architecture and will be involved with customer opportunities, with the support of your peers.
  • Within your sixth month, you will be mostly self supporting and independently working with the sales teams on sales engagements.
