The Sales Engineering team works with our Business Development team to frame out investment product strategies with our partners. With such a powerful and versatile API platform, there’s no limit to the interesting and engaging app experiences that we can power—and our Sales Engineers help illustrate that vision and provide helpful support for getting off the ground.

You will be working directly with new prospects from first discussions through to a signed partnership. You should be comfortable gaining a deep understanding of our API platform, and communicating its features and benefits directly to engineering and product teams all around the world. Partners look to us for thoughts in a wide variety of areas, including product design, software architecture, data management, and more. We’re looking for someone with a history of contributing to and building products that can speak to many of these areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Business Development in pitching to a wide variety of financial teams
  • Conceptualize and develop sales materials for better communicating our platform
  • Investigate partners’ goals and help Product and Technology professionals understand how to achieve them through our APIs

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of general programming and web-based APIs
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate various time zones
  • Some familiarity with wire-framing or UI tools (Balsamiq, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
  • Experience building and contributing to software projects

Bonus qualifications

We service a wide range of partners with different needs and different technology stacks. While we don’t expect you to have deep knowledge of all of the following, exposure to some of these technologies or tools is helpful.

  • JavaScript toolchain (Node, Webpack, TypeScript, etc.)
  • Mobile toolchain (Xcode, AVDs, iTunes Connect, etc.)
  • Browser inspectors
  • Postman, cURL
  • AWS or Google Cloud
  • Relational and non-relational databases
  • Lambdas or other server-less architectures
  • Experience in financial services or SaaS-based companies is also a plus.
