Vericred has built the first multi-carrier, end-to-end quoting, enrollment and member management API solution for Health Insurance and Employee Benefits. With adoption from all of the major medical carriers and overwhelming traction from end-user-facing platforms, our Quoting and Enrollments APIs are set for massive growth and industry disruption.


We are looking to add a dynamic Sales Director to build on our momentum and accelerate growth by focusing on selling our Enrollment and Member Management solution(s) to benefit administration platforms & other organizations that have an in-house organic enrollment platform or technology. The Sales Director is a consultative sales professional excited about enabling an industry-wide transition: delivering a true digital experience for enrolling and managing membership in the insurance and benefits administration ecosystem.


The main duties associated with this role include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers, identifying emerging trends that will inform the organization of sales & revenue opportunities. A successful Sales Director is passionate and eager to get in front of our prospects and customers, and foster conversations and quality opportunities.


For this role, we are open to remote candidates anywhere in the U.S. Vericred is headquartered in NYC with a second office in Omaha, NE. This role reports into the Chief Revenue Officer. #LI-Remote

In this role you will:

  • Develop and execute strategies and plans to achieve set business goals and revenue targets.
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined, repeatable where possible, selling process with potential buyers.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to collaborate with product, customer success, and marketing to achieve set goals.
  • Identify new opportunities through proactive prospecting efforts and managing inbound leads.
  • Build trust and satisfaction through a consultative, ethical, and transparent sales process.
  • Consult with prospects on use cases enabled by our API solutions.
  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of new/growth opportunities.
  • Close sales with startups, but primarily well established InsurTech, BenTech and HRTech companies.
  • Document activity including outreaches, meetings, notes, follow-up tasks & current steps into Salesforce.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have 5+ years proven success in consultative sales roles.
  • Have prior experience in the health insurance and employee benefits ecosystem as a carrier, broker, consultant, or InsurTech innovator.
  • Have a passion for creating a new market category and the hard work required to do so.
