The Sales Research Associate will helps deliver bookings and revenue through the building of sales pipelines for Newsela’s sales team. The successful candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment. You're passionate about contributing to the achievement of business results by tactically generating new business leads and exceeding team goals.

As Sales Research Associate, you will report to the Sales Development Manager. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Outbound phone sales campaigns and achievement of weekly and monthly lead generation quota
  • Using Salesforce.com to support inside and outside sales teams
  • Be a dedicated resource to the SDR team: effectively communicating and managing deliverables on various tasks and reporting on outreach efforts on existing accounts as well as presepects
  • Assist with sales calls by obtaining priority prospects as well as reporting client information to assist the SDR in having meaningful conversations
  • Research sales opportunities based on current events, budgetary allocations, etc.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in sales or research. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in marketing and sales databases including Salesforce 
  • Bachelor’s degree

Some plusses:

  • Interested in EdTech and/or SaaS company
  • Self-starter who can multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Familiarity with sales platforms
  • Fast learner and team player with top-notch communication, relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently against tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail, analytical and an eye for accuracy
