The Role

Rokt is seeking an experienced business development professional to drive growth by successfully forming partnerships with some of the worlds greatest e-commerce businesses deploying the Rokt e-commerce marketing technology. This role will initially be heavily focused on market research, new commercial structures, and concept development and will work closely with the Product team on development and commercialization of the newest products created by Rokt.

Reporting to our SVP, Business Development this role will ultimately be responsible for initiating, developing, and nurturing new high level strategic partnership opportunities with e-commerce businesses across the region and helping to structure new commercial agreements with large complex enterprise clients.

You're a strong fit for this role if you have a sharp, commercial mind that takes a solutions approach to solve complex client problems. You encompass a sales mentality but you're primary focus is on building. This team is truly a startup within a startup and operates cross-functionally across nearly every team at Rokt. Additional experience in either enterprise SaaS, IT solutions and/or e-commerce business development roles is preferred by not required. You must be comfortable selling into the C-Level of large, complex organizations with a long sales cycle, managing multiple stakeholders and pulling together complex technical solutions. You're a self-starter and an organized teammate who thrives in a dynamic, results driven environment. You’re excited to collaborate with your team and have a proven record building out a new product, while working autonomously in a rapidly iterative environment. Your contributions will be valuable and will help our product development team shape the future vision of Rokt.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the business development strategy for new and innovate products at Rokt, help identify prospects, pitch new deals, create proposals, negotiate agreements and win new business
  • Work hand-in-hand with the product and product marketing teams to refine Rokt’s partner offerings (APIs, Widgets, etc.) identifying MVPs and structuring go-to-market plans
  • Move client prospects through the funnel, from consideration to executed contract including managing the pitch process; oversee internal process for responding to RFPs and preparing for pitches
  • Maintain updated Hubspot contact details, while also spending a proportionate amount of time building out client solutions with your team
  • Consistently analyze the performance and impact of partnership initiatives for continuous optimization
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Engineering, Marketing and Legal communicating partnerships plans and performance to align relevant partners and teams behind your initiatives
  • Continuously achieve quarterly and annual KPI goals

Requirements

  • Obsession with building from scratch and solving pain points for customers
  • 3+ years experience with some experience selling into complex SaaS/Technology services services
  • Must be comfortable selling into and building credible relationships at the "C" level as well as through the organisation
  • Professional client-facing skills. Polished, articulate and credible when communicating with partners in business and social settings. Full comprehension of client businesses and needs.
  • A curious mind with a strong desire to leverage creative problem-solving skills to develop new ideas and revenue opportunities for the organisation. A desire to build just as much as you sell
  • Demonstrated ability to think conceptually as well as engage in the detail
  • Entrepreneurial background, attitude or ambition. Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal constituencies, especially with the Product team and communicate effectively up and down
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, verbal and listening skills
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical aspects of potential technology integrations
  • Basic understanding of ad tech and e-Commerce
  • Basic knowledge of website design a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree. Post-graduate degree not a requirement but well-received
