ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The Senior Director, Business Development Ecommerce will lead and manage the implementation of strategies to onboard ecommerce brands to our advertising technology platform. They will work with our leadership team to drive the growth of our ecommerce channel and will identify, evaluate, negotiate, maintain, and execute on sales strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Own and manage the full sales cycle for enterprise ecommerce brands and ensure metrics and targets are hit
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance updates to communicate progress, opportunities and risks associated with each prospect
  • Collaborate with the internal functional team members responsible for helping support the sales process
  • Work cross-functionally with internal Prizeout teams including partners, legal, operations, technology, product, and support to achieve desired results
  • Communicate and escalate issues appropriately across internal teams
  • Serve as the voice for ecommerce merchants and prospects and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas including technology and product

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 10+ years of advertising technology, marketing technology, SaaS, or ecommerce sales experience with an understanding of important initiatives to top-level marketing and advertising personnel
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to talk to and develop relationships with C-level executives, marketing teams, customer acquisition teams, and other decision makers
  • Ability to build trust through clear intent and strong discovery and qualification skills
  • Strong business sense along with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated accountability, judgement, and resourcefulness
  • Experience working at a growing start-up or in a fast-paced environment is strongly preferred
  • Must be willing to work full-time in New York City; this is not a remote role
