Senior Director of Sales, Walmart

The Sr. Director of Sales is the primary strategic leader for Harry’s Inc. and Walmart (our largest retail partner). This role will lead our omnichannel business plan development and our total solutions selling approach and partnership. Our business plan will include our improving our core business proposition, bringing new innovation plans to market with excellence, driving new cross-functional value via co-marketing investments and systemic supply chain improvement, and unlocking new value via growing online results. The Sr. Director will serve as team leader -- leading an efficient team of dedicated Harry’s resources, combined with leading a strategic broker partner and their complete suite of resources that provide advanced capability for category and shopper analytics, systemic supply chain improvement, and highly targeted store operations support. Additionally, this role will serve as a primary partner for Harry’s internal strategy and planning development – to include the Director of Sales Strategy and Planning, Marketing and Brand resources, and Demand Planning resources. This role represents significant impact to the company’s future growth (20% of total Harry’s Inc net revenue; and 26% of NA Retail), and an even greater share as we continue to build future innovation and scale for Harry’s brand portfolio. Through sales fundamentals leadership and execution (distribution, shelf, ISM, price, and marketing), we expect to significantly broaden our awareness, customer acquisition, and repeat for the overall business (online and in-store). This individual needs to embody the vision that customers are the humans who use our products, and that Walmart plays a vital role as our retail partner toward enabling customer discovery and delight for Harry’s products. Our Walmart team should become viewed relied upon from Walmart’s merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams as “thought leaders” who deeply understand Walmart and how our brands play a unique role in driving growth.
About the Team
The Retail Sales organization is a critical function that drives the Harry’s brand strategy and growth with our mass market and specialty retail partners. The Retail Sales organization is responsible for all customer development activities at each retailer, cultivating relationships across all functions – merchandising, marketing, store operations, supply chain, and omnichannel development.
Your core responsibilities
- Lead Harry’s Inc. brand development plans on behalf of Walmart with our internal planning resources – with primary interface with the Director, Sales Strategy and Planning. This will include defining and delivering budgeted sales revenue, category share growth, gross margin management, and supply chain improvement goals.
- Own the relationship and the quality of output from our agency partner – The Harvest Group. This includes facilitating clear direction, and recommendations for planning connections with Harry’s.
- Build top-performing relationships with our partners at Walmart. This includes fostering relationships with Senior-level leadership (including the Divisional VP), drive sales fundamental plans with the merchant leads (Sr. Buyers), and facilitating account penetration for marketing, supply chain and store operations connections. This includes building and owning a JVC (Joint Value Creation) plan and scorecard, which encompasses our mutual growth targets and strategic investment areas for Harry’s Inc. across a 3-year timetable.
- Manage and own the Walmart Team P&L, including trade investment and overall OpEx considerations.
- Ensure we have robust category-level Joints Business Plans with Walmart, to include corresponding scorecards that represent mutually defined annual goals.
- Lead the hiring, training and development of top talent for Harry’s Inc – creating a highly collaborative and effective culture that reflects Harry’s Vision, Mission and Values.
- Manage a high functioning team (Harry’s and our agency partner) to serve the needs of Walmart and Harry’s at an optimal and mutually defined ROI.
- Define and lead the necessary business questions and support from data analytics and shopper/consumer insights, to position Harry’s as the thought leader in shave and soft product categories in which we compete.

Who you will work with
- Internally: Your primary contact starts with the Director, Sales Strategy and Planning. Additionally, you will connect and plan with the Brand GM’s, Demand Planning, Marketing, and Finance.
- Externally: You'll work most closely with key Walmart leadership and buying team. You will be the primary lead for Harry’s.
- You'll report to the Head of Sales at Harry’s.
