Maisonette is looking for a Sr. Manager, Advertising Sales to help lead the strategic planning and execution of our new and growing Advertising Sales business. This role requires a unique combination of strategic planning, selling prowess, and execution level attention to detail.
An entrepreneurial spirit is a must.
You will be tasked with both creating the long-term strategy for our Advertising Sales business, as well as executing on our Ad Sales programming already in place by communicating with both our vendor base and internal cross-functional teams.
Create the strategy for the Advertising Sales business to scale in the years to come and own the P+L, executing on plans to hit revenue targets
Think strategically about how to leverage current and future assets for ad sales (onsite search + display, email, catalogues, social, in person events, among many others) and how to package meaningful campaigns for vendor partners
Translate strategic plans into scalable operating plans, detailing the resources needed across capital, technology, people, etc.
Manage Ad Sales programs already in place - including seasonal campaigns and kickstarter programs - to hit 2021 revenue targets
Liaise with vendor partners and internally cross-functional teams (merchandising, marketing and creative) to ensure vendor partners are pleased with results and marketing inclusion
Create ROI model to share with vendor partners as relevant to ensure program success and scalability
Manage 1 direct report and create plans for scaling Advertising Sales team
7 years experience in an ad sales, marketing, strategy or consulting role; startup experience a plus
Ability to shift between strategic mindset and external selling
Clear, collaborative communicator
Entrepreneurial, intrinsically motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable
Ability to prioritize among myriad and shifting priorities
Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day tactical execution
