The biggest bottleneck in bringing new treatments to patients is the clinical trial. On average, getting a drug through the trial process takes nearly a decade and frequently costs $100M+. And the problem is only getting worse.

TrialSpark is a technology company that brings new medical treatments to patients faster by reimagining the clinical trial process. We’re using software and technology to streamline all aspects of a clinical trial.

Role

This position will play a key role in developing and executing TrialSpark’s strategy of forming key relationships with important industry partners. Whether it is data providers or digital health companies, we need people that can assess and then execute mutually beneficial partnerships with the right organizations. Individuals hired into this role will be tasked with helping the business scale through data infrastructure, VC/biotech VC and other key strategic partnerships. This is a role for people that thrive on seeing a clear path of action within an overwhelming number of opportunities.

This is an open-level position so based on your experience we will calibrate on exact title:

• Analyst: 1-3 years of experience
• Manager: 3-5 years of experience
• Senior Manager: 5-7 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Figure out our ideal strategic partners and then execute on that strategy
• Key input into the overall strategic roadmap for the business
• Be able to pitch effectively in meetings and understand how to create long term value for multiple entities rather than just a cash based transaction.
• Help create the data partnerships framework required to scale the business, working with sales, product and data to create the roadmap.
• Grow a team to help scale initiatives in the future.

Skills and experience

• Knowledge of the investment landscape in life sciences
• Experience having closed deals in a solo capacity.
• Strong relationship management skills with a proven ability to successfully negotiate and close contracts with large organizations
• Ability to work within a budget and to hit targets
• Organized self-starter and driven to hit aggressive targets
• Have flexibility and the understanding of changing approach based on new information.

Bonus points if you have

• Proven venture capital/private equity experience
• Clinical experience and knowledge of the clinical trial space
