A Better opportunity:

Better is looking for a customer centric, systems-thinker who will identify and execute projects to improve the sales and service experience for our customers. This individual will act as a thought partner to our Mortgage sales teams, driving strategic initiatives that facilitate the borrower journey and support scale. This role will also work in close collaboration with our product team to improve the product based on qualitative and quantitative assessments.  The right person for this role has a bias for action, is process-oriented, and excels at managing teams and stakeholders to drive change.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leverage data to identify opportunities to improve the sales / service experience and work with appropriate teams to execute against these opportunities 
  • Develop proactive communication playbooks to improve the customer experience
  • Perform root cause analysis on issues that arise to determine how operational processes can be improved in the future
  • Audit existing processes to ensure they are working properly as our business evolves

About You:

  • You have 5-7 years of strategy and operations experience with an emphasis on customer service operations
    • Ideally within management consultant and/or a startup environment
    • Bonus points (preferred) for real estate experience, specifically within mortgage sales/purchase
  • You have least 2 years of people leadership experience
  • You have overseen long term projects. Our ideal candidate has both diagnostic and implementation experience
  • You’re passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience
  • You are an upstream thinker who is proactive about reducing issues before they arise 
  • You have a bias for action and the ability to execute in a way that will immediately drive impact 
  • You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a strong ability to partner cross-functionally in order to drive change
  • You have a strong ownership and leadership mindset
  • You are adaptable with the ability to thrive in ambiguous or uncertain environments
