Job Description

The US East Pre-Sales Engineer plays a key role in the sales processes with large enterprise (primarily health systems) customers around the world.  This role includes the ability to discuss clinical workflows in various hospital departments (i.e. Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anesthesiology, Primary Care) and provide detailed technical requirements to customer IT and Security teams.  Must have an attention to detail for reviewing legal and technical agreements.  Works closely with internal teams such as Sales, Product, Legal and Information Security.

  • Works with the US and EU Sales team to provide in-person or remote product demos to customers
  • Expert for sales on technical, workflow, and privacy/security information
  • Complete customer security assessments and facilitate application security review discussions
  • In conjunction with the Legal and Security teams, review all customer agreements as they relate to privacy and security
  • Thoroughly Complete RFP and Tender requests for competitive deals
  • Clearly document customer workflow, expectations, and potential issues as they transition to implementation team
  • Contributes to building customer-facing material for integrations and data solutions.
  • Interfaces with Product and Engineering to provide real-world feedback from the field (Voice of Customer) to be implemented in device enhancements or new product development.

Operational Details:

  • Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager
  • Provides pre-sales informatics support for Strategic Accounts, Sales, Clinical, and Marketing.
  • 80% supporting Sales to scope implementation efforts for large customer accounts, partnerships, and KOLs
  • 20% working with Product and Support teams
  • Potential for 25% travel including trade shows, trips to headquarters and customer visits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Informatics, or Healthcare Project Management
  • Expert knowledge of interoperability between medical devices and healthcare IT
  • Familiarity with DICOM, PACS, HL7, EMR and Medical Imaging devices
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA and HITECH, HITRUST, ISO 27001, and GDPR
  • Experience giving product demos in person, or remote to C-Suite level customers
