Position Summary
The Strategic Account Manager is a senior consulting role for a strategic client located in New York, NY. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving customer success and partners closely with Payfone and client teams to optimize and successfully deliver client implementation and ongoing maintenance of Payfone products and services.
The Strategic Account Manager will drive the customer to increasing levels of value realization from current live solutions, to implementation of solutions, to working with the client for the development of new ideas and solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting and growing the revenue at this single customer. In addition to working from the client’s headquarters a few days a week, the Strategic Account Manager should expect to hold regular meetings with the various stakeholders, including the C suite, to assess where Payfone stands in relation to agreed upon goals and KPIs of success and drive resulting actions. During those meetings, the Strategic Account Manager will present the status of the Payfone project as it relates to the client’s business.
The Strategic Account Manager consultatively develops clear solutions to use cases with our proprietary software products. This role leads the internal and external processes that deliver on-boarding, satisfaction, growth and retention with a focus on fulfilling business objectives and value via our solutions. The candidate has a strong command of communication (written and oral), business analysis, solution design, project management and consultative solution selling.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for protecting the existing revenue and discovering growth opportunities
- Identify business requirements, define use cases, and understand data sources/needs that support KYC, Fraud, Retail Lending, and other client initiatives
- Conduct quarterly business reviews, presenting the status of the project and the value achieved to key stakeholders at both Payfone and the client
- Partner with internal project team(s) to define current and projected work flows that Establish reputation as trusted partner
- Effectively translate business requirements to specifications to be supported using software product(s), manage projects in support of customer onboarding and ongoing maintenance of the Payfone integration including internal project documentation, documenting technical specifications
- Use consultative selling to support customer onboarding & account expansion with Sales Director
- Execute cost benefit analysis and financial modeling
- Onsite as needed under the direction of the client, expected 2-3 days per week in Stamford, CT
Education & Experience
- 5-6 years of experience as a senior manager within the System Integration group at a large or boutique consulting firm required
- Experience in credit, retail or fintech strongly preferred
- BA/BS (or MA/MS) in relevant field
- Strong ability to influence through consultation, especially at varying levels of leadership in global matrix organizations
- Polished interpersonal style, strong communication skills, and solid emotional intelligence
- Strong command of application and API architecture and design
- Strong alignment with core organizational values
- Solid project management expertise
- Business transformation leadership experience
Compensation
A compensation package composed of a base salary and equity component will be structured to attract a uniquely qualified candidate. Bonus opportunity. Excellent health benefits are included.
