Why we need you:

The Strategic Sales Development Representative is a key member of the Schoology team, responsible for prospecting leads, identifying gatekeepers and decision makers, building an effective pipeline, and successfully scheduling meetings for the Schoology Regional sales team. In addition to these responsibilities the Strategic Sales Development Representative is involved in all facets of the sales process, as needed. This unique role requires you to create strong sales qualified leads, project management, run needs analysis and help throughout the entire sales process. The perfect candidate is interested in exploring a sales career in the EdTech space, is highly driven and can take a strategic and analytical approach to outreach.

What you'll do:

  • Prospect leads in LinkedIn and through multiple other measures.
  • Set and attend all Discovery Calls.
  • Cold call prospective clients in order to identify qualified decision makers, build an effective pipeline, and schedule onsite meetings for the Regional Sales Directors.
  • Navigate company structures to get past gatekeepers and influence decision makers.
  • Maintain detailed records in Salesforce.
  • Support the RFP process.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Your skills and experience:

  • Cold-calling or outbound calling experience.
  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Enthusiastic, determined, and self-motivated.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a thick skin and a strong, professional presence on the phone.
  • Experience working through problems and figuring out solutions independently.
  • Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.
