Job Description

Butterfly is preparing for the next phase of growth and looking for exceptional candidates with point of care ultrasound experience to join the newly formed clinical home-based sales team. This team will be hyper-focused on creating new partnerships with medical groups and value based care organizations. This individual will be proactive, strategic, have a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and can talk to both the hardware and software aspects of the Butterfly Network solution. We are looking for POCUS experts that see themselves as “hunters,” innovators, healthcare experts, and have the confidence to perform clinical workflow demonstrations in a virtual environment.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Cultivate sales pipeline in a defined territory
  • Achieve annual sales target defined by leadership
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups
  • Manage a continuous forecast through Salesforce.com using Butterfly defined process and procedures for tracking opportunities, activities and tasks
  • Remain current and report out on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Learns and maintains a working knowledge of all Butterfly solutions including: iQ+ probe feature/functionality updates, enterprise operating software updates, learning management software
  • Generates proposals, prepares sales quotations, plans customer meetings and performs solution demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of the Butterfly portfolio.
  • Conduct virtual demos of the Butterfly iQ+ & software solutions using Zoom or similar platforms.
  • Minimal Travel Required: 25% or less
  • For other Sales duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 3+ years in medical device, capital equipment sales
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, customer service, relationships management, time management and team building skills
  • Expert in administrative technology: Salesforce CRM, G Suite, Slack, Asana and other technology tools
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Strong ability and a proven track record managing a quota and pipeline

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • 5+ years experience in sales role, healthcare field preferred
  • Formal sales training completed: Miller Heiman, Targeted Account Selling or Sandler
  • Intellectually curious, strategic, and thrive on diving into complex problems. Be able to  develop and articulate clear fact-driven recommendations
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup a plus
  • Experience exceeding sales targets with a proven ability to generate in excess of $1,000,000 in revenue sales per annum
