ROLE 

This team member is critical for the business as it scales. You will build partnerships that directly drive revenue growth and diversification of customer acquisition channels for the business. The approached needs to be disciplined and imaginative -- explore a range of strategies, and double down on the ones that work. Partner with product, sales, operations, and construction to execute these partnerships and create flywheel sources of new demand. You have empathy for both homeowners and builders, both of which are critical for the company’s success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a framework and strategy to further develop Block's presence among B2B community
  • Build relationships in real estate agent world, and make Block the go-to partner for brokers and their clients when they are buying / selling homes
  • Execute initiatives and build relationships with property owners / developers / management, making Block the go-to partner for multi-family units
  • Evaluate potential partnership opportunities based on market dynamics, expected profitability, and strategic value
  • Create enterprise-level deals that become flywheel sources of demand
  • Develop deep insight into real estate agent needs, and help develop products / tools that align their and Block’s success
  • Provide key research and analysis both pre and post initiatives to determine long-term growth, sustainability and scalability
  • Manage key KPIs and asset development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic partnerships and business development sales
  • Ideal candidate has an established network in the real estate industry
  • Highly ambitious and goal-oriented
  • Highly versatile -- ability to bring together components of product, sales, operations, and construction to execute a strategy
  • Ability to build for long term, but also able to find efficient short-term means
  • Track record of success in building partnerships/dealmaking
  • Loves to build and nurture community
