As a Curricular Solution Architect you will be a member of Newsela’s Customer team, and will design bridges that connect Curriculum to Instruction by using Newsela’s engaging, authentic and differentiated content. You will build relationships with districts in Texas, each with distinct content and instructional needs. Working closely with the field sales team, you will apply your pedagogical expertise and consultative skills to architect content solutions that delight districts, teachers, and students by enabling engaging and aligned learning to take place in classrooms. You’ll also champion client needs, requests and untapped opportunities, as identified by Sales to our Content and Product leadership teams; this role will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable systems that satisfy market demands by better meeting clients needs in less time. By habit, you rely on data, research and industry best practices to inform your day to day, and on your creativity and ingenuity to ensure the final output is delightful to our users.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
First and foremost, you will get to scale your impact on student outcomes by leveraging the years of teaching, instructional design, and curriculum writing experience you’ve accumulated in your career. As the face of Newsela out in the market, you will have the opportunity to represent the future of education, enhance how districts and teachers engage students, and provide time-saving approaches that allow educators to design customized learning for different levels of learners. You’ll do all of this, while being part of a fast-growing, highly collaborative team energized by Newsela’s mission and impact.
Why We’ll Love You:
Building on your 3+ years of teaching experience and M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction (or other related field), you are a curriculum guru with experience designing quality instructional resources, preferably in a cross-curricular capacity across ELA, Social Studies and Science. You have experience identifying instructional needs and building consensus on the just-right solution with multiple stakeholders. You have worked 1+ years in a sales and/or Ed Tech environment and understand the unique challenges of curriculum adoption cycles and navigating funding sources. You have experience working with the political players within a larger district in Texas and understanding the complex network of roles, responsibilities, and influence. Never one to shy away from a public speaking opportunity, you are always willing to jump at the chance to evangelize the importance of bringing curricular vision to life through accessible and differentiated content. In your free time, we can find you scouring your favorite ed-blogs for content and instructional trends in and around Texas. When asked to do the impossible for student achievement, you respond with “I’ll figure it out” and think of all the faces you know will benefit from your grit and quality work ethic.
