NBCUniversal is looking for a Technical Account Manager to join the Technical Account Management (TAM) organization. The TAM team's mission is to establish NBCUniversal Streaming Services as a contemplated and innovation leader with strategic distribution partners for NBCUniversal Direct to Consumer platforms. The focus view of the group is to serve as the core facilitator for product and technology with top mobile, connected device, consumer electronics, & telecom operators (MVPDs, Wireless, & Pay TV), and other distribution partners such as (Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung etc). The TAM is responsible for creating and maintaining constructive relationships with key strategic partners and ensuring business as usual (BAU) practices are developed and operationalized. The TAM team cultivates the link between our partners, emerging technologies, and the product, technology, and business teams within the organization. TAMs ensure the operational efficiency with partners and establish and maintain reporting, and monitoring of key metrics for our ongoing partnership programs. Generally focusing on operational and technical areas of measure. TAM serve as a primary point of contact with the distribution partners and our technology and product teams, working collaboratively across all functional stakeholders internally and externally.
Technical Account Manager
The Technical Account Manager, is a highly collaborative, cross-functional role with touch points across NBCU's direct to consumer businesses including Product & Technology, Partnerships & Business distribution, Content, Legal, and Operations. The position requires excellent communication, strong project/business management skills, keen understanding of the streaming & media landscape, and an ability to interface with external & internal partners. The role is responsible to maintain key relationships our third party distribution partners within both business and technology teams. The role should have a keen understanding of streaming technologies to include delivery of streaming services to partners such as Amazon, Google, Apple and other technology and telecom providers
Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with global distribution partners to identify new capabilities, features, and requirements to provide implementation recommendations to internal business, product, and technology teams
  • Single point of contact for Facilitating all technical communications between distribution/commerce partners and NBCU teams for general technical account management functionalities. Covering the routing of request through intake management, discovery, and technical support operations.
  • Strategically manage initiatives that ladder up to team objectives, collaborating extensively across the business and technology teams
  • Lead and partner across workstreams to support stakeholder communications & program/deal status.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies and develop plans to escalate and mitigate them
  • Work closely with the technology, product and business teams to help support deal terms tied to technology commitments, ensuring implementation of those commitments are achievable through ideation and planning.
  • Lead and coordinate tech sessions with partners to create alignment and provide visibility into ongoing initiatives and create a bridge between the contract, technology and the business teams
  • Work with partnership, tech, and product teams to identify and tee up growth opportunities for both NBC's DTC and external partners
  • Drives technical issues from operations reported by an external partner to resolution (including routing issues to the proper NBCU teams) and communication, with clear understanding of root cause, impact, and next steps
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure we are clearly communicating and delivering on our plans and needs - always representing NBC' DTC as a premier media partner
  • Partner with tech/business PMO and Delivery teams to ensure successful delivery against business expectations and requirements
  • Plug in closely with the teams we support across the business to get early insight into upcoming launches, initiatives, and opportunities
  • Establish relationships and workflows with partners that ensure successful delivery and launch of projects and initiatives
  • Work with the product management team to build NBCUniversal DTC prioritized roadmap and backlog, leveraging device integration opportunities to advance NBCUniversal DTC engagement and subscriber growth goals for living room platforms
  • Proactively identify and drive partner issues and incidents to resolution
  • Collaborate closely with NBCUniversal DTC product management, development, business partnership, and technical program management teams to ensure end to end execution on partner integrations.
  • Contribute to business reviews and post-mortems as needed for key strategic partners


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience & educated to bachelors level or equivalent, background in technical account management, tech business management, business admin, technology or engineering a significant plus
  • Ability thrive in a fast-paced environment and create clarity and organization amidst uncertainty
  • Extensive experience leading complex end to end technology and operations integrations solutions for digital media/ streaming platforms (VOD, SVOD, AVOD, TVE)
  • Superior customer relationship and account management skills including ability to influence/advocate NBCUniversal product/technology initiatives and uncovering implementation requirements
  • Solid understanding of application integrations with technology partners such as Apple, Google, Amazon and MVPD integrators like Charter & Xfinity, including management of report creation and delivery
  • Experienced communicator with strong writing skills and an ability for synthesizing and communicating information to different level of partners
  • Proactive problem solver and excellent time management skills
  • Exceptional team player and communicator who can work effectively across multiple teams
  • Confident in managing, influencing and growing relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, and AirTable
  • Adaptable performer who can lead effectively under pressure and through significant change with a clear ability to multi-task
  • Experience within telecom, technology streaming or media technology
  • Previous experience working with remote teams / international teams
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
