We're looking for a Territory Manager on the Sales team to manage and drive the success of MakerBot’s direct and channel business in one of our sales territories. Previous sales experience is required. In this role, you will manage a steady stream of leads in the commercial and education space ranging from Fortune 100 companies and universities, to prosumers and elementary schools. You will also be responsible for supporting resellers through assisted sales calls to close business in your given territory. As Territory Manager, you will excels at:

  1. Sales Process
    1. Discovery Framework- succeed at asking question in Technical, Personal, Political and Business Domains.
      • Understand the factors influencing the customer’s decisions through thoughtful, credibility-building statements and questions
      • Use framework to Identify the issues Innovation Center opportunities are facing and craft a catered compelling solution.
    2. Meet Lead SLA
      • Convert or Disqualify leads within 7 business days
    3. Opportunity and Pipeline Management
      • Accurately set expected close date, log sales activities, set tasks and input detailed descriptions in salesforce
      • Move opportunities from Discovery to Recommend to Commit within service level agreement
      • Come to pipeline and opportunity reviews prepared with a diagnosis of current state and a plan on how get to a preferred state.
  2.  Territory Level Forecasting
    1. Understand the impact of leading indicators on revenue
    2. Use success metrics to track KPIs and leading indicators
    3. Calculate forecast revenue within +/- 10%
  3. Territory Level Planning
    1. Execute a district level sales plan a target districts
      • Understand the top three key issues in your territory and their business implication
    2. Create SMART ROAs (Result, Objective, Actions)
      • Activities are actionable and correlated to the expected Objectives
      • Defines actionable objectives that credibly lead to the expected Result
    3. Track execution of activities in ROA
      • Adjust activities and objectives based on business outcomes in pipeline and opportunity reviews
      • Tracking execution against a success matrix
  4. Negotiation
    1. Conduct a business negotiation intelligently
      • Demonstrate confidence and business acumen to overcome customer objections and problems in EDU or PRO market segments
      • Sell on value and not discount
  5. Business Communications
    1. Ability to present to Manager or Director level professionals (internal and external)
      • Effective presentations -- clear, concise, relevant to audience.
      • Persuades audience into action
      • Tailors message and level of depth to the audience
  6. Leadership & Professionalism
    1. Lead by the example
    2. Live and foster MakerBot’s culture and values

Extra experience counts too!

  • Professional experience with 3D printing or MakerBot is a significant plus

This is an on-site, full-time salaried position located in our Brooklyn office. The compensation package includes health, dental, vision benefits, pre-tax benefits for transit, 401K matching, and three weeks of vacation.
